Families and social workers pay nothing
Searching, saving homes, sending questions and sending referrals cost nothing for families, social workers, discharge planners and case managers. There is no charge to them at any point.
Homes list for free
A care home can claim its listing, add photos and rooms, and keep its open beds up to date without paying anything. There is no monthly fee and no charge for messages.
Homes pay only when a bed fills
When a resident introduced through FindABed moves in within 12 months of that introduction, the home pays FindABed a one-time fee of 50% of the resident's first month's rent. For a respite stay of 30 days or fewer, the fee is 25% of what the home charges for the stay.
Every home pays the same rate
The fee is 50% of the first month's rent for every home, large or small. There is no paid placement, no paid badge and no way to buy a higher position. What a home has paid never changes where it appears in search.
Large national referral agencies commonly charge homes 85% to 100% of the first month's rent. We charge less because homes manage their own listings and availability, and social workers and families contact homes directly.
What this means for you
If you are looking for care: you pay FindABed nothing, and you are never obligated to choose any home you find here. Tour more than one home and ask each one what its rate includes.
If you run a care home: the full terms, including what counts as a placement and how to report one, are in section 5 of our Terms of Service.
